This years PCOS Awareness month has been a busy and exciting one especially in the wake of this years announcement of new International Guidelines for PCOS.
Trustee, Caroline, attended the International Conference on PCOS in Stockholm, live Tweeting and Facebooking as she went. This was a great weekend where she got to meet with the medical professionals and researchers who helped to form the new International Guidelines for PCOS, one of whom is long supporter of Verity, Professor Stephen Franks.
We supported Endometriosis UK with their petition to get Menstrual Health Education on the school curriculum.
We also supported HFEA with their survey about the standard of treatment that women receive across various clinics around the country.
Trustee, Kristine, attended a recording of The Guilty Feminist Podcast (episode 114 on work-life balance) and represented Verity as the charity of the week by raising awareness of PCOS, calling out for volunteers and of course donations to allow us to keep doing what we do.
We also took part in and organised an array of social activity for both International PCOS Awareness Day (September 1st) and Awareness month:
- Twitter #PCOSChat with international counterparts in the US and Australia
- Instagram Photo challenge
- Fertility Network’s Scream for IVF campaign
What did you get up to in September?
