Hello! This research study at King’s College London aims to explore how women who are active in sports or fitness and have PCOS perceive how their eating habits and food choices help them manage symptoms and support their reproductive health.
What’s involved?
- Complete a one-time pre-interview online survey (5 minutes to complete)
- A one-off, online / virtual interview using Microsoft Teams with a member of our research team (approximately 45 minutes)
Who can take part?
- Aged between 16 and 49 years old
- Reside in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland
- Trained and/or competed at any level of your sport
- Have Endometriosis and/or PCOS.
Why take part?
By sharing your experience, you will help improve our understanding of the barriers and enablers to engaging in physical activity whilst living with PCOS, and whether eating habits and food choices help manage symptoms, reproductive health and engagement in sport. As a thank you for your time you will receive £25 voucher of thanks for participating in this research.
This knowledge helps provide context of how lifestyle behaviours are used in the management of PCOS symptoms and engagement in sport which will be used to guide further research to provide better care and outcomes for those living with PCOS.

Dr Fiona Lavelle, Dr Zoë Bell, and Dr Oliver Witard lead a dedicated research team passionate about advancing PCOS research to address longstanding inequalities in women’s health. With a blend of lived experience and professional expertise, the team brings together strengths in behavioural nutrition, exercise metabolism, and dietary health disparities to improve support and outcomes for women with PCOS.
